Transitioning

Before it is time for your child to move into the next room, a transition notice will be given to the parents. It will include the final date the move will occur and the new teachers’ names. Transitioning occurs according to availability, the child’s age, maturity, and developmental skills. Transitions will start gradually and not fully occur until all conditions are met. If a student is receptive to the transition, then the transition could be quick. If a student has a difficult time with the transition, then the transition could take a couple of weeks. Whatever is conducive for the student will work for a positive experience for all.
